Online courses are available for both initial certification and recertification. Recertification is approved in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Students are able to complete the lessons at a pace that is comfortable for them. Progress is monitored by one of our instructors certified by the National Restaurant Association.

One you have completed the online course, you may take a state approved ANSI accredited exam through the Hospitality Careers Training Center or a provider of your choice. Exams are administered at the end of each classroom course listed on the course dates and locations tab of this website. Exams may also be administered at your place of employment, contact your instructor for availability. Exam must be purchased separately.
$55.00(Online Recertification) TAP online Food Safety Manager Recertification courses are the only specifically developed online recertification courses offered that are approved for use in all states where non-examination food safety manager recertification is allowed:Illinois, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Rhode Island. These courses require only about half the time to study as the full online course. Using these at home self-study courses eliminates any travel or time away from the job. Upon successful completion of the course you will receive your certificate from the Hospitality Careers Training Center. The TAP Certificate of Achievement is offered for printout (Note: The Hospitality Careers Training Center certificate is not for initial certification in any state. Further, only those with valid food safety manager certificates or are within the states allowable grace period are eligible for non-examination recertification). When the course has been successfully completed, your states recertification filing form can be printed from the Hospitality Careers Training Center's website under the "printable forms" tab. Send a copy of your certificate, recertification filing form, and a check for the recertification fee to the address listed on your states form. The state will then mail you an updated certificate.

$189.00 Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points-HACCP Training This course meets both nationally and internationally accepted HACCP standards. It contains the information needed to effectively participate in the organization, development, implementation and management of a successful HACCP plan. The trainee will experience practical, real world interactive case studies that cover the "five preliminary steps" of a HACCP plan and the application of its "seven principles". Also included are HACCP plan development forms that can be printed out and used to create a HACCP program. The course provides the foundational knowledge needed to comply with the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act. Successful completion of this course provides a certificate recognized by National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) Training, Certifying Board of Dietary Managers (15 clock hours continuing education credits), American Culinary Federation (15 hours continuing education credits), and American Hotel and Lodging Association - Educational Institute.

Based on studies conducted by major universities on the TAP Series' Food Safety Manager Certification Program demonstrating exceptional certification examination pass results, TAP Series now offers that any student who fails a nationally recognized food safety certification exam will be retrained at no further cost. To qualify for the Pass Assurance Standards (PAS) program the student need only meet the following requirements.
STUDENT REQUIREMENTS:
Student must obtain 90% or better on each Lesson.
Student must have taken or have retaken the sample test within 48 hours of the exam date and have again scored a 90% or better.
Student must complete the program within 4 months from date the student starts the training.
Student must take the exam in the same language as the language selected for the training.
If a student completes the four requirements and does not pass one
of the nationally recognized food safety certification exams, TAP
Series will allow the student to re-take the training for free.
Students are required to complete the re-take of the training within 30
days from the failed examination date.
The PAS program is the
only one offered in the food safety manager training and certification
